Our society organizes and sponsors the longest-running, ethnic festival held in Grand Rapids -- the Dozynki Polish Harvest Festival!


Thousands of people turn out each year for this three-day celebration of Polish food, music and culture, usually held at a Downtown location on the last full weekend of August.

Our society organizes and sponsors the longest-running, ethnic festival held in Grand Rapids -- the Dozynki Polish Harvest Festival!


Thousands of people turn out each year for this three-day celebration of Polish food, music and culture, usually held at a Downtown location on the last full weekend of August.

 

Admission to this fun, family friendly event has always been free, with live music, dancing and some of the best Polish food in West Michigan!

Dozynki Polish Harvest Festival

Metro Grand Rapids is home to a large and vibrant Polish-Lithuanian community, tracing its roots back more than a century when immigrants from Poland and Lithuania settled here in search of better lives.
 

Those immigrants brought with them music, food, traditions and a zest for life that continues today at events held weekly at Polish-Lit

Metro Grand Rapids is home to a large and vibrant Polish-Lithuanian community, tracing its roots back more than a century when immigrants from Poland and Lithuania settled here in search of better lives.
 

Those immigrants brought with them music, food, traditions and a zest for life that continues today at events held weekly at Polish-Lithuanian halls throughout the Grand Rapids area, at area churches and at venues such as Rosa Parks Circle and the Grand Rapids Public Muse

Established in 1963 as the Polish Arts Society, our organization has promoted Polish-Lithuanian culture in metro Grand Rapids through art exhibits, lectures, events and sponsorships of organizations such as the P.R.C.U.A. Malbork Dance Group. 


Some of the highlights of our cultural efforts include our annual Traditional Wigilia Dinner held
